In case you’re still planning to get that old Canon 50D, think again because a new Canon 60D is about to be released as tipped by a reliable Canon insider. The Canon 60D is said to have a 18MP cmos sensor and is touted to have a feature that is absent in any other Canon DSLR – this could be a GPS geotagging feature, but we are not sure.
It is not clear also whether the Canon 60D will have a light sensitivity close to the Rebel T2i or to that of the EOS 7D. The same with the autofocusing feature which is also not known. This will determine whether the camera will be like the EOS 7D at 8 frames per second or to that of the lower end Rebel T2i which is 3.7 frames per second.
Whatever its specs may be, we are sure that the Canon 60D is already in the testing stage and it will be lined up for production and is expected to launch this summer or in early fall. This goes without saying that eh price of the 60D is still unknown, but we will keep you posted.
